A research review that validates donor support for volunteer tutoring
On behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Education and Frontier College, our nation's premier volunteer tutoring service, Knowledge Impact Strategies conducted a review of research.
We asked: Does volunteer tutoring help children who struggle with reading? Using scientific methods we examined research articles to determine if, when, how, and for whom tutoring works.
In addition to a full report to government, we created a fact sheet that compared what the research says with what Frontier College does.
We designed the fact sheet that Frontier College uses to show its many donors the value of their contributions to children's literacy.
