Increasing Participation in Fall Prevention Programs
Catalogue of Research Evidence

The Evergreen Seniors Centre is a great example of a community organisation that understands the need to address fall prevention. The Centre is a non-profit recreation facility for older adults co-run by the City of Guelph and the Guelph-Wellington Seniors Association in Ontario. With over 3100 members it is the largest association of its kind in Canada.

The Evergreen Seniors Centre offers exercise programs as one approach to fall prevention. The Centre asked Knowledge Impact Strategies to survey the research literature and to offer tips for sparking greater interest, participation, and adherence to programs for fall prevention.
